Skopes, the new gentleman's outfitters, arrives at Freeport Fleetwood, with great clothes at great prices!
A luxury menswear retailer aimed at stylish shoppers, looking for heritage-inspired outfits, opened at Freeport Fleetwood on Friday 10th October.
Skopes, the family-run Leeds-based store group, established in 1948 by Sydney Cope, is launching at 10am and is offering shoppers an exclusive 50 percent off the RRP on all products for one week only.
John Magee, Centre Manager at Freeport Fleetwood, said: “The new Skopes store will tap into the country aristo trend by offering a range of blazers, suits and over coats in checks, tweeds, pinstripes and herringbone. The brand has stood the test of time by designing a new clothing collection every season. This new launch adds to our extensive range of luxury mens retailers including Moss and Jeff Banks.”
Simon Cope, the owner of Skopes, is continuing his grandfather’s vision to create a quality outfitter at affordable prices and has big plans for growth. The brand already employs over 200 staff and is keen to expand in 2014/2015. Total turnover is approaching £20million and the company plans to add to its robust portfolio of over 60 retail outlets, opening at least two new stores every year.

BEST VALUE for home goals Fleetwood Town FC is set to join forces with the town’s best value shopping centre Freeport Fleetwood in a new sponsorship deal.
The mighty Cod Army were recently revealed as the team offering the cheapest adult season ticket in League One with the best price per home goal, each costing just £4.38 each compared to £29.38 per goal scored by Norwich City FC, which is the highest in the league. Making them the perfect partner for the outlet centre which boasts up to 60% off some of the high street’s best brands.

Presently sitting in 11th position, Fleetwood Town FC are playing hard to continue their climb through the league tables. In 2005 the team played in the North West Counties Division One and has now celebrated six promotions in ten years to their current position in Sky Bet League One, a unique achievement in football. This season sees them face teams such as Sheffield United, Coventry and Preston to win the league trophy.

Freeport Fleetwood held their first official Best of British Day on 13th September to celebrate all things British and it certainly encouraged shoppers to flock to the centre, which recorded a 40% increase in footfall across all 45 stores on the following day and a 17% increase in sales.
The British-inspired family day saw the crowds flocking to enjoy patriotic entertainment, food and drinks and John Magee, Centre Manager at Freeport Fleetwood, said: “Our first official Best of British Day brought in new shoppers from as far as Glasgow. The success of the day impacted on the following week’s trading and saw footfall and sales steadily increase throughout the week. The event seemed to remind shoppers of the fabulous range of stores we have here at the centre, especially with all our wonderful autumnal offers, with as much as 60 percent off last the latest looks.”
Lancashire-based X-Factor 2011 finalist Jonjo Kerr, kicked off Best of British celebrations and the crowds enjoyed Made in Liverpool, the official Cavern Club band plus performances by the Scream Theatre School. Hosted by Jordan North and ex Big Brother 9 contestant Luke Marsden, from 97.4 Rock FM, who presented live from the Centre throughout the day.
The Centre was decorated with Union Jack ribbons, bunting, balloons, the iconic BBC test card and giant Fleetwood seagulls and store windows were dressed following the Britannia-theme. Plus celebrations came alive with a host of British icons including a Prince Harry look-a-like, a London Hackney Carriage photo booth, beefeaters guarding the entrance, a Pimm’s cart and of course strawberries and cream.
