TVR Car Show - Back Home

Make a weekend of it in September for the huge TVR Car Show - Back Home

Blackpool is the home of the TVR car, and 2013 is the year for the biannual event on the promenade called 'Back Home'.

Organised by the Blackpool region of the TVR car club, 'Back Home' is on the weekend of September 14th and 15th. This huge biannual event has been going strong for the last 15 years and attracts upwards of 300 TVRs from all over the UK and even Europe.

The event is centered round the cenotaph , north pier and the adjacent lower prom, with a static display of Supercars - some of which will be performing demonstration runs on the lower prom on the Sunday.

It's an event for all the family with traders, a TVR timeline and visits to what's left of the TVR factory in Bristol Avenue at Bispham.

On the Saturday evening TVR Car Club members can also enjoy a dinner dance at the Devere Hotel on East Park Drive.

The demonstration runs on Sunday will be a change to see some of the cars from Saturday's static display in action. Among others it will include the Speed 12, PWs 5000M, DTEC race cars, Group B rally cars, Supercars and the Tractor Pull vehicle start up. The sound of five methanol fuelled engines with a combined output of 9,000 BHp has to be heard to be believed!

The event is free to spectators.A video of the event held in 2010 can be found at this link
