Around 100 vehicles are set to hit the holiday highway and head to the seaside for this popular motoring event which was first staged in 1963. This year the Manchester to Blackpool  Car Run hosts an impressive mix of classic, veteran, and vintage vehicles.

The classic cavalcade starts from Worsley Old Hall in Greater Manchester at 9am. The cars set off in rally style at thirty second intervals, to make their journey to Blackpool. They wind their way through some stunning north west countryside, finishing at the Italian Gardens in Blackpool Stanley Park.

When the vehicles arrive at Stanley Park, it gives enthusiasts a chance to get up close and personal with these pieces of automotive history.
