You’ll see signs displayed at the front door and on their literature, including these logos:
AA star rated
Member of the Visit England accredited ‘Blackpool Approved‘ scheme.
They’re all listed online in the Visit Fylde Coast accommodation guide where you can book quickly and securely online on their own websites. You’ll find special offers there, direct from individual businesses. Along with links to, information about the area and what’s on.
What happens if I’m not happy when I get there?
Where you see the StayBlackpool sign, you have the comfort of knowing that should things go wrong you aren’t on your own.
They’re there for you should you have any issues with your accommodation, as a first port of call to resolve the matter quickly and efficiently. And if things still aren’t what you expected, you can ask for assistance from Visit Britain or the AA.
An Established Local Organisation
With StayBlackpool you can select a registered business for your next holiday. It gives you the assurance of knowing that you have chosen a quality provider. It’s an old and well established group which has seen it all over the years!
North and South sections originally formed in 1898 which then amalgamated in 1945. The present name of StayBlackpool came about in 2007 when the Blackpool Guesthouse Association merged with the Blackpool Premier Hotels Association. StayBlackpool is now a Community Interest Company. It’s part of Blackpool Hotel & Guest House Association, a limited company for 60 years.
I’m an Accommodation Provider – why should I join StayBlackpool?
Being self-employed is tough and being an accommodation provider especially so. Not only is it hard work keeping the place clean, cooking breakfasts and welcoming guests, you’ve also got all the admin to do too. Properly run places to stay abide by a million rules and regulations too – from licensing to food hygiene – the list is endless. Which is where StayBlackpool comes in.
Membership of StayBlackpool provides you with promotion of your property, access to local information, and a champion for the resort.
As a membership organisation, it works hard to help its member businesses. There’s regular business support, advice and updates on relevant legislation. It provides a strong voice for the sector through the Chair. They’re on hand to offer comment to the media and represent the holiday providers of Blackpool.
It’s a strong united group with a strong voice and influence that’s able to steer the direction of tourism issues in the town. For example, they help the whole area with funding issues surrounding the illuminations. StayBlackpool has supported individual hoteliers in selected areas in the face of growing issues with HMOs. And so much more. Representation is provided with the local authority, public sector organisations, police and trade groups in order to make the voice of the hotelier heard.
Information and Promotion
It’s also a source of information to businesses in the tourism sector. For example planning information is passed on to businesses who may be affected by new developments. Trade events and visits are organised to local attractions to help you to offer better knowledge to your guests. The regular newsletters provide current news on a host of subjects.
StayBlackpool also partners with Visit Fylde Coast – one of the most comprehensive online sources of information about the area. A major benefit of membership is inclusion within the online accommodation guide. Although members are asked to provide information about their business, online updates are done for you. That’s one job less!
If you have an accredited accommodation business then StayBlackpool is the membership group for you. Find out more about the benefits of membership here. There’s discounts from local wholesalers and a whole load of other perks.
The Annual StayBlackpool Show
