When you’re in town and want to know something, there’s one place to go – to Blackpool Tourist Information Centre TIC. It’s got a new home too, right in the centre of town!
In March 2026 the popular place for all things Blackpool moved from its former home at Festival House to a brand new unit. It’s now located in The Blackpool Tower building, accessed from Bank Hey Street, opposite Primark. It’s open daily, from 9am to 5pm.

Blackpool Tourist Information Centre TIC
Visit Blackpool, the official tourism provider for the town (and part of Blackpool Council) operate the TIC. It’s the place to go to find out all kinds of information about the resort.
Pick up leaflets or buy show and attraction tickets. Ask about trams and transport. Get local, knowledgeable advice! Pop in and have a chat with the friendly team and ask them anything that you want to know. And, as well as card payments, they take cash – especially useful for the many cashless attractions nowadays. Pop in and get your tickets for –
- Attractions
- Theatres and Shows
- National Express coaches
- Blackpool Transport trams and buses
- Coach excursions
While you’re there you can also browse a range of products on sale. All locally themed, many made by small local businesses.
Got a question? Ring Blackpool Tourist Information Centre on 01253 478222. It’s open every day from 9am to 5pm.

The Many Homes of Blackpool Tourist Information Centre
Festival House
Festival House opened at the promenade in December 2011 and the Tourist Information Centre opened soon after. It occupied the downstairs space, sharing the right hand side of the building with the Wedding Chapel which is still upstairs. A perfect location on busy seasonal days, Festival House also has some access issues in poor weather. It’s also not a central location, so it moved to the current home at Bank Hey Street in March 2026.
Clifton Street
For a number of years, the Tourist Information Centre occupied the shop unit at the corner of Clifton and Corporation Street.
Built in 1929, the National and Provincial Bank had previously occupied this corner, but was demolished in 1981 to accommodate the new-build TIC.
Blackpool Promenade
In 1989 a new, 12 sided Tourist Information Centre opened opposite The Tower on the promenade, at a cost of £50,000.
