£1 Christmas Parking in Blackpool

Park for a pound is back – as Blackpool reintroduces discounted parking over several weeks leading up to Christmas. Enjoy a spectacular festive season! It’s an attractive deal for local residents and visitors.

Blackpool Council is offering residents and visitors the opportunity to park for three hours for just a pound on most of its car parks*.

The offer runs from November 17 to January 1 to coincide with the return of the spectacular Christmas By The Sea event. It’s attracted record crowds to the Promenade for the past two years, introduced to complement the two-month extension to the traditional Illuminations season.

Don’t forget that this year, Christmas shopping in the town centre Christmas will be boosted by the opening of the new Frasers department store in the Houndshill! Along with new Sports Direct and Flannels stores.

Redeem the parking offer using the PayByPhone system. All you need to do is download the PayByPhone app and register, or call 0800 546 0609. It’s SO easy to use – much better than traipsing to the ticket machine! It also means you don’t need the right money, have to queue, or get wet when it rains!

Three-hour sessions are limited to one per day, after which normal tariffs apply. Filey Place and Talbot Multi-Storey car parks are not included in the offer.

If you haven’t already used PayByPhone you really should.

  1. Great news about £1 parking and I’d be delighted to use it and so support the town, if you’d provided a list of participating car parks, or better still a map.

  2. We’ve booked to stay over Christmas week the hotel has no parking weres best to park and do you know how much roughly a day im disabled so need car close the feathers Hotel Albert rd

  3. Parking should be free as it was in 2017, and for about 5hours as 3 hours is not enough time to go leisurely Christmas shopping, have coffee etc, if you really want people to shop here.

    1. I totally agree with you about parking, an ontop off people talkin about parking. Why do most councils who have disabled parking be blocked all because they want to build new venues, where else can disabled people park during shopping hours an be charged ??
Blackpool council should be assisting to keep disabled parking open an not close them
