Blackpool Night Run is back! The new event saw thousands of runners take their mark for a 7.5km charity dash down the prom when it launched in 2019.
Blackpool Night Run Returns!
Wednesday 1 September 2021 from 8.30pm to 11pm
At the launch in 2019 almost 6,000 participants ran, jogged and walked under the Illuminations. Together they raised £73,000 for the Bispham charity.
Join thousands of people and run, jog or skip along the 7.5 km route under the famous Blackpool Illuminations on a traffic-free promenade. It’s the perfect opportunity to have a sneak peek of the light before the official switch-on.
Blackpool Night Run is free to enter thanks to sponsorship by The Kentown Wizard Foundation. More than 250 people have already registered their interest in taking part.
- Every runner will receive a FREE t-shirt and official Blackpool Night Run medal. This 7.5km Fun Run is suitable for all abilities aged 8+
- This event is FREE to enter but each Night Runner is asked to try to raise £30 in sponsorship (JustGiving is recommended) or make a one-off donation.
- Places for Blackpool Night Run are limited. So you’re encouraged to book quickly to avoid disappointment.

Running for Brian House
The run is organised by Brian House Children’s Hospice, and raises vital funds so the charity can care for the most fragile children on the Fylde coast.

Brian House supports children with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions in Blackpool, Fylde and Wyre. By taking part in Blackpool Night Run, you’ll be helping to shout about it by wearing the Brian House colours as you dash under the Blackpool Illuminations.
The hospice’s Events Manager is Kirsty Miller. She said: “We’re so excited to launch Blackpool Night Run 2021, and we can’t wait to see our amazing supporters under the bright lights of the promenade again.
“We’re constantly reviewing government updates concerning the ease out of lockdown, and will take every precaution to make this event as safe as possible for everyone taking part or helping on the day.
“Night Run remains a free-to-enter event. But every single penny raised in sponsorship or donated by those taking part goes straight to our amazing children’s hospice. We’re caring for our area’s most fragile children and creating full lives, however short.”
